Bag Creation:
Each Lyla Designs custom bag is hand cut, hand sewn and created in our Norristown, PA studio. Each bag is lined with either interfacing or fusible fleece – sometimes both – to help maintain its shape and durability. We use quality designer fabrics that have been carefully selected as well as quality hardware to maintain and meet our high standards. All of our standing bags have 4 silver purse feet at the bottom to help protect the bag – as well as an extra sturdy bottom with plastic canvas to hold its shape and keep it durable. Upon completion of the bag – we fully inspect it to make certain that the bag meets our high standards and then we happily ship it to you!

Bag Care:
Because our bags are made of a variety of different materials and fabrics we recommend using a protective spray. If needed, spot clean with mild soapy water and a soft cloth – or a baby wipe. To bring bag back to original shape lightly press with a warm iron.

Once payment is received, your bag will go into production and will be shipped out upon its completion within 3 -4 weeks.

Payment:
At this time we accept cash and personal checks. All orders must be paid in full prior to bag going into production.

Return Policies
Due to customization and the uniqueness of the handbag you create, we regret custom bags are not returnable.

If your handbag arrives defective in any way, we will replace it for you at no charge – but the bag must be returned within 8 days of the shipping date and must be unused and in original packaging. If you plan to return an order, please email us at lyla_designs@yahoo.com or call Carli @ 610.564.2164 and let us know that a package is being returned, the problem with the merchandise and when we can expect it. All cash and carry item sales are final and are not eligible for return. Please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable for returned handbags and the customer is responsible for any costs associated with return shipping.

What’s In a Name?
So, where did the name Lyla Designs come from? Well, in March 2007 my fiancé (now husband) and I decided to get a puppy. After searching on the Internet we found a local rescue shelter that had a litter of lab pups ready to adopt. After going to the shelter to “see” the pups – we ended up picking one out! But what do we name her? My husband is a huge Oasis fan – and he came up with “Lyla” (which is one of our favorite songs) and the name just stuck. Lyla was the new name of our puppy so while looking for a name for our company – the name Lyla seemed appropriate. Here we are – Lyla Designs. All of our bags and accessories are then of course named after other significant dogs in our life!
